Support innovation at the forefront of AI research in Europe by tackling significant industry-driven challenges
We are looking for private companies, public organisations or non-profit/research entities to propose real-world, high-impact challenges that can be tackled by European innovators, researchers, and startups through the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
This Expression of Interest (EoI) aims to identify and select relevant, ambitious, and feasible challenges to be solved in the AI-BOOST competition and serve as the foundation for upcoming open innovation competitions across Europe.
Challenges will be accepted and reviewed on a first come, first served basis, until the available slots in the AI-BOOST Challenge are filled
The competition will be open to all sectors and application domains, while prioritising those strategically aligned with the EU’s Apply AI Strategy and the GenAI4EU initiative (notably healthcare and pharma, manufacturing, mobility, energy, telecommunications, and public services).

How to apply?
Challenge owners must read the Guide for Challenge Owners and then send the required documentation via email to the following address: info@aiboost-project.eu,
Required documents must be sent in PDF format within a single email message with email subject line: Challenge Owners EOI – [Name of Organisation]. An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to each applicant.
Challenge owners need to send the following documents:
- Annex 1 – Company description: an overview of the applicant organisation, including its main activities and relevance to the proposed challenge, and the reasons for its interest in submitting this challenge.
- Annex 2 – Challenge description: a brief description of the proposed challenge, completed using the official template provided at the end of these guidelines.
English is the official language, submissions done in any other language will not be taken into account.
