AI-BOOST aims to set up an External Pool of Evaluators to support the review process of the proposals received from the AI-BOOST Large Grand Challenge AI Open Call.
The EPE gathers a set of recognised experts in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and/or Large AI Models/System, selected through an open process to ensure transparent and consistent evaluation of the applications.

Evaluators Profile
We are looking for experts in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and/or Large AI Models/Systems.
In addition, evaluators must:
- Have a good knowledge of the English language to be able to review the applications and participate in discussions with other evaluators.
- Not be in a situation of conflict of interest to participate in the evaluation and must inform the AI-BOOST consortium of any conflict that might arise after expressing their interest to become evaluators. An evaluator must not work for an organisation that is a part of the AI-BOOST Consortium, nor an organisation which has applied for the Large AI Grand Challenge Open Call.

Services required
Services will be provided remotely and will involve evaluation of the applications received. All evaluators will be required to sign a non-conflict of interest declaration and a contract with the AI-BOOST project coordinator, before being accepted to evaluate a specific application.
Remuneration
Evaluators will be reimbursed for their time and effort on the basis of the number of proposals evaluated, with each proposal corresponding to a value of €90. In addition, External Experts acting as Evaluator Manager will receive an extra 30€ per application acting in this role.
Important Notice
Please note that this expression of interest to participate in the AI-BOOST Large Grand Challenge Open Call evaluation as an external expert is NOT binding and does NOT constitute any commitment to the AI-BOOST project.
The selection of experts to support AI-BOOST in the evaluation of the proposals will be taken at a later stage since it depends on the number of proposals received, their origin, as well as the origin of the potential evaluators, their affiliations, their expertise and the balance between various criteria (e.g. gender, background, affiliation type, age, expertise etc.). Furthermore, we are obliged to frequently change experts that support in the evaluations of proposals.
